A Welcome from
Don Silleman, GMPU Athletic Director Welcome to the Athletic Department at GMPU where every student is special! We take an old school approach to athletics here at GMPU. Not the old school of leather helmets and peach basket basketball hoops, no, we are better than that. Old school in that we transport your athletes back to their childhood. For example, during time-outs in football, moms will sign up to scurry out onto the field to bring the players cookies and juice boxes for their "Time-out snack." In addition, we don't believe in the coldness of charter buses or planes for GMPU players. We help to build a family community by having parents sign up to car pool players to games. Sure, it may take a bit longer to drive to California than flying first class, but just think of the team spirit you'll develop over those 3 days of continuous driving? At the end of each season we'll have a big pizza celebration where every athlete will get a plastic trophy no matter how they did that year. All these things combined make our Athletic Department the most unique in all of college sports and the envy of every T-Ball league. So what are you waiting for? Start storing up those juice boxes today as a 350 lb. lineman can really pack them in! -Don Silleman, Athletic Director |
Don Silleman (center) is the newly appointed Athletic Director at GMPU. He is flanked by university founders Mark Levin (left) and Gary Eblen (right). Gary and Mark were pleased to make this appointment and are excited to be joining our alumni and current students in welcoming Don on campus. He will certainly take our university where it's never been before. We are all excited. Go...oh yeah, we need a mascot.
Got a mascot suggestion? Send it in and if we choose yours, you'll receive a GMPU Athletic Department t-shirt when we get around to ordering some. That could be a while but in the meantime - we'll give you a shoutout. Send your suggestion to: [email protected]. |

Don's First Act as new AD was to sit down with GMPU founders and offer them some advice on getting fit. It's all a state of mind.
Twenty minutes after coming on staff as the new Athletic Director, Don Silleman sits down outside the student center and lays out a fitness plan for the founders. Check out what Don said in this YouTube video. |
